Executive Summary

A leading global hospitality brand partnered with Broadcast Management Group (BMG) to design, build, and operate a scalable global video production ecosystem across multiple corporate locations.

Beginning with a flagship studio and control room at their headquarters, BMG provided full managed services—including consulting, facility design, systems integration, staffing, and ongoing operational support. As the client’s needs evolved, BMG expanded this model into additional locations in McLean, Memphis, and Dallas—creating a flexible production environment that supports everything from single-operator live streams to multi-location broadcasts connected through BMG’s Network Operations Center.

The result is a unified, scalable production infrastructure that enables consistent, high-quality communications across the organization’s global footprint.

Background / Challenge

The global hospitality company recognized early on that digital and video content were essential for engaging both customers and employees. However, video production across their international offices lacked standardization—ranging from phone-based internal videos to outsourced high-end productions.

The challenge was clear: they needed to produce more content, at higher quality, with consistent branding, while controlling costs and turnaround times. To achieve that, the company engaged BMG to analyze workflows, validate the business case for a dedicated in-house production facility, and ultimately design, build, and support that infrastructure.

As their communications strategy matured, the need evolved from a single studio build to a scalable, multi-location production model capable of supporting global operations.

BMG Engagement by Phase

1. Consulting

BMG’s consulting team conducted a complete workflow and ROI analysis for an internal corporate production operation.

  • Interviewed executive stakeholders and content creators to identify needs and goals.
  • Audited existing workflows, vendor relationships, and cost structures.
  • Delivered a comprehensive ROI analysis comparing internal production vs. outsourcing.
  • Defined staffing models, space utilization, and technology requirements.

2. Facility Design, Build, and Construction Advisory

Following a positive ROI determination, BMG was contracted to design and build the client’s first dedicated corporate studio and production environment.

  • Engineered a studio, control room, three edit suites, rack room, and technical core.
  • Designed an automated workflow enabling a single operator to manage multiple production functions.
  • Advised on space design, layout, and physical construction of all production environments.
  • Oversaw contractor coordination, permitting, and build execution.
  • Delivered detailed engineering plans for HVAC, electrical load, and network infrastructure.

3. Creative Services & Systems Integration

BMG’s creative and integration teams collaborated to design both the visual and functional aspects of the production environments.

  • Designed and installed custom lighting, scenic elements, and set design.
  • Integrated flexible layouts for interviews, internal broadcasts, and live streaming.
  • Ensured consistent brand presentation across all visual assets.

4. Staffing, Managed Services, and Ongoing Operations

BMG provides full managed services across all facilities, ensuring consistent operation and long-term scalability.

  • On-site staffing for studio and event production.
  • Ongoing engineering support and system maintenance.
  • Workflow optimization and operational support.
  • Remote monitoring and support through BMG’s Cloud Control Center™ and Network Operations Center.

5. Scalable Production Model

BMG developed a repeatable production model that can be deployed across the client’s global locations.

  • Standardized production environments across McLean, Memphis, and Dallas.
  • Portable production systems for flexible deployment.
  • Centralized monitoring and support through BMG’s NOC.
  • Consistent workflows and production standards across all locations.

6. Multi-Location Production Expansion

As the client’s communications needs grew, BMG expanded the production model beyond the original headquarters.

  • 2019 (McLean, VA): Engineered and built a full studio, control room, edit suites, and technical infrastructure.
  • 2024 (McLean, VA): Designed and installed a permanent production system within a corporate gathering space, including PTZ cameras, audio systems, lighting, and display infrastructure for town hall meetings.
  • Developed portable flightpack systems connected via an I/O panel, enabling:
    • Single-operator live streaming.
    • Integration with the main control room for complex productions.
    • Connection to BMG’s Network Operations Center for multi-event or distributed broadcasts.
  • 2025 (Memphis & Dallas): Expanded these capabilities to additional corporate locations, standardizing production environments across sites.

Each location can operate:

  • Independently.
  • Through the corporate control room.
  • Or through BMG’s NOC for centralized production and monitoring.

Results / Impact

Through BMG’s fully managed services model, the client transformed its corporate communications into a scalable global production network.

  • Established production capabilities across multiple corporate locations.
  • Enabled flexible production workflows—on-site, through a central control room, or via BMG’s NOC.
  • Reduced reliance on external production vendors while increasing output and quality.
  • Created a repeatable model that can be deployed across additional global hubs.

Today, the client operates across three primary locations—with additional expansion planned—and can scale this model to as many global offices as needed, supporting consistent, high-quality communications worldwide.
